Occupational Medicine
Occupational Medicine provides health services for all eligible personnel, including civilian personnel. These services aid in the prevention of occupational disease and illness, occupational surveillance of the worker and worksite, care of employees with work related injuries and illnesses. Occupational Medicine also offers three board certified occupational medical physicians, three physician assistants, a full time clinical psychologist, reminders to you and your supervisor of upcoming appointments, shop visits with a physician, nurse, psychologist, and audiologist, and an employee evaluation system to ensure an expedited and safe return to work. Services include:
- Occupational injury and illness evaluation, treatment, and follow-up
- Psychological assistance for work related stress problems
- Occupational surveillance exams
- Respirator fit testing and physical evaluation for respirator wear
- Occupational vision and hearing evaluations
- Occupational shop visits
- Fitness for duty evaluations for physical and mental/emotional problems
- Participation in the Light Duty, Physically Disqualified Program, and OWCP programs
